Successful growth execution results in staff expansion at ISO Spaces.

Following the success of the recent Crowd Cube funding campaign, ISO Spaces has announced the creation of five new roles. The new members of the team will provide support in management, technical design, marketing, communications and fabrication. The new recruits will join an already expanding team that has grown from six to 18 in the last year alone – a 200% increase.

Ben Treleaven, Co-Founder of ISO Spaces, says: “This is a great time to be joining ISO Spaces – there is definitely a buzz about what we are doing and who we are working with. Having recently finished a number of high profile containers, we have also just won a contract to develop social housing for a local council. We have always been committed to investing in the right people at the right time to ensure we remain a sustainable company and the leaders in our sector.”

The new team members include:

Carlos Howard, General Manager: Carlos joins the team from GE Money and will oversee the business to ensure smooth running of the company.

Sarah Matthews, Head of Marketing and Communications: After running her own consultancy firm for the last three years, Sarah is coming in-house to join the team.

Dan Bigwood, Design Engineer: A high calibre technical designer, Dan joins us from BMT (British Maritime Technology) and will enhance our existing design team to bring our concept drawings to reality by providing his expertise at the build and production phase of our conversions.

Tim Hopkins and Rob Bennett, Metal Fabricators: Tim and Rob join us from a local fabrication firm, and will be based in our factory working on the metal work in our containers.

Three of the new ISO Spaces team members have been recruited with the help of a graduate placement scheme offered as part of a wider support programme for high-growth businesses. The programme, which is fully funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is delivered by Oxford Innovation in partnership with Unlocking Potential.

“We are also in the midst of recruiting a Junior Designer to join the team and will be advertising for full-time admin support role based in our factory in St Austell imminently,” added Ben.

ISO Spaces recently achieved £450,000 worth of investment through Crowd Cube and, aside from hiring new staff, is using the money to increase capacity and extend its 10,000 sq.ft St Austell production facility by 5,000 sq.ft.
