The Crib Shack, Driftwood Spars

THE CRIB SHACK, CONTAINER CAFÉ

20ft Container Café with roof terrace

Client: Driftwood Spars

Nestled in the beautifully picturesque Trevaunance Cove in St Agnes, The Driftwood Spars boasts panoramic sea views, four-star guest accommodation, two bars, a brewery – and new for 2018, ‘The Crib Shack‘. ISO Spaces was commissioned to design and manufacture a converted container café that would utilise the space in The Driftwood Spars’ beer garden.

Inspired by the container bar that ISO Spaces created for Fever-Tree, The Crib Shack project was created using a 20ft high cube shipping container and comes complete with an integrated, fold-down roof terrace with removable stairs.

Concepts
& Planning

Designed with three serving hatches with stainless steel gas struts and a personnel door, the container café allows full bar/ café service potential. Our in-house interior design team worked closely with The Driftwood Spars to ensure the container’s design sat seamlessly within its seaside location, using a palette of coastal blues, natural wood finishes and industrial brass pendant lighting – a nod to the container’s foundations.

Kitted out with the required catering equipment, The Crib Shack serves locally sourced coffee, cake, handmade sandwiches, ice cream and a selection of alcoholic beverages. Surrounded by an oasis of coastal flowers looking out over the ocean, the already popular St Agnes hangout is a slice of Cornish paradise.
