The brief was to build the new nursery at the corner of the current Ark Oval Academy site, with its own, separate entrance on Oval Road. The new building is designed to be welcoming and child-friendly, with dedicated areas in each room to enable messy play, quiet time and space to talk and eat together during breaks. With a dedicated outdoor area where children will be able to play freely and explore the outdoors

We successfully managed the design and build of this 16 Unit project through all RIBA stages, in collaboration with ig9 Construction & Property Consultancy Services.

Our full turnkey service gave Ark Academy peace of mind. As we took the project from design, through to demolition, offsite manufacture and final landing.

Disruption was a major concern for the Academy, who were worried about the impact on pupils, parents and staff as work began on the new building.

Our offsite manufacturing process meant that onsite noise and upheaval was significantly reduced, in comparison to unwelcome alternatives. Operating offsite allowed us to speed up the construction process and meet the challenging client programme.

Traditional construction methods would have extended the timeline considerably and was deemed too difficult for the Academy to manage given the site constraints, which had been magnified during the Covid-19 pandemic.
